Early Education Center (Ages 6 weeks to 5 years)

In our Early Education Center and School Age Child Care Program, we nurture the potential of every child in a caring and enriching learning environment. Our trusted programs stimulate children’s academic abilities and creativity while developing their individuality and social skills. We accommodate full-time or part-week schedules, and enrollment takes place on an ongoing basis. Financial assistance is available through a confidential application process. We are proud to be part of Healthy U, a statewide initiative to combat child obesity. Healthy U educates kids about healthy eating and incorporates physical activity into childcare settings. Our hours are from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm.

For more information, please contact Ronit Bivas at 908 369 0490 x718 or via webmail.

  • Infant Care (Ages 6 weeks to 18 months)
Infants develop cognitive and sensory skills through music, storytelling, educational and physical activities. Our experienced teachers engage children while providing nurturing care tailored to each infant's schedule.
  • Toddlers (Ages 18 months to 2 1/2 years)
Toddlers explore the world through hands-on activities that include music, sports, stories and science in a group setting that enhances their social skills. We also introduce them to shapes, colors, letters and numbers.
  • Little Sprouts (Ages 3 to 4 1/2 years)
A morning program, 2, 3 or 5 days per week, that introduces children to the classroom. We focus on encouraging social skills to build a foundation for your child and fostering a love of learning. Literacy, science and math are explored through group projects.
  • Preschool 1 (Ages 2 1/2 years to 3 1/2 years)
Children participate in age-appropriate, engaging group activities. Our staff inspires and supports literacy, math and language both socially and cognitively through interactive learning, such as recognizing patterns, sequences, numbers, and letters. Children also enjoy music, gym, and weekly swim lessons (for potty-trained children).
  • Preschool 2 (Ages 3 1/2 years to 4 1/2 years)
Children acquire kindergarten readiness skills by exploring the worlds of science, math, literacy, and social studies. Our Preschool 2 students learn the alphabet, develop pre-writing and pre-reading skills, as well as early number concepts. Children also enjoy science, gym, and weekly swim lessons.
  • Pre-Kindergarten Plus (Age 4 1/2 years to 5 years)
Designed for children who miss the kindergarten cut-off date and have already experienced Preschool II level class. Children are prepared for the rigors of kindergarten and challenged with enhanced readiness skills in math, science, literacy, phonics and language. Social skills are encouraged through group projects, physical fitness, weekly swim lessons and recreational swim time.
Before and After School Care (Grades K to 8)
Before the school day begins and when the school bell rings at the end of the day, working parents can relax knowing that their children are in the Y’s care in a safe, supervised space. In our before and after school program, kids benefit from both academic support and social interaction, as they focus on homework and participate in fun physical and other extra-curricular activities such as swimming.
