Exercise in the pool is gentle on your body, builds muscle strength and a strong heart, as well as helps to ease arthritis. It’s an effective, low impact way to keep you healthy and active.
Water exercise is great for adults of all ages and abilities looking for fun and fitness in a low impact environment. Classes are offered in the daytime and on some evenings as well as “on your own” opportunities to water walk and do your own workout routine.

AFYAP is a class consisting of a series of gentle activities in the pool open to anyone with arthritis or similar rheumatic diseases. W.E.T. is gentle aerobics, flexibility and light strength training in a warm, therapeutic pool. It is not necessary to know how to swim for either class. Free to members and a fee for non-members. Pre-registration is necessary. Please register at the Welcome Center.
