See What's New in Group Exercise, Dance & Yoga!

At the Y, we're always looking for new ways to engage you in your personal fitness goals and that means new classes for those of you who like the social motivation of group exercise. Check out a couple of new offerings slated for November and beyond!

MINDFULNESS FOR TEENS: Mondays, 4:15pm-5:00pm With Christina Todaro

Location: GX Room 1
Cost: Free

Join us for an introductory demo class that helps kids regulate their emotions, decrease stress and anxiety, and enhance feelings of calmness. Mindfulness will reduce negative self talk, and cultivate greater self acceptance, develop better social relationships and attitudes.


Butts and Guts focuses on toning and strengthening the lower body and core. Join Linda on Mondays at 10:30am.

Core de Force uses an up-tempo boxing-inspired moves and body weight exercises. Join Zulma on Wednesdays at 10:30am.

Country Heat engages your whole body in easy-to-follow moves done to country music. Join Kim on Fridays at 9:30am.

LaBlast fuses all the dances you see on “Dancing with the Stars” with serious calorie burning fitness. Join Chris on Mondays at 5:30pm.

Beginning January 22, new yogis can learn terminology and poses in Intro to Yoga. This will be an ongoing 4-week class held Mondays at 10:20am.

Tween Yoga – (for children ages 7-13) Wednesday 4:15-5:00pm (Location: Mt. Airy-GX1)

Chair Yoga – Thursday 12:30pm-1:30pm  (Location: Mt. Airy-GX1)

Spin/Yoga – Thursday 9:30-11:00am (Location: Mt. Airy-Spin Studio/GX2)

Tai Chi – Wednesday 8:00-9:00am (Location: Mt. Airy-Dance Studio)
