Announcement Detail

Construction Progress at Somerset Hills YMCA

byJamie Watkins |
  • Somerset Hills YMCA - Mt. Airy

We’re excited to announce that we are reinvesting in our infrastructure. Over the next several months, we’ll be upgrading the heating system at Somerset Hills YMCA. This investment will:

  • more accurately control water temperatures in the pools
  • more accurately control humidity in Group Exercise 1 Studio
  • reduce our carbon footprint

From April 17 – May 7, we will move to the next stage of our heating system upgrade, which will impact access to the second floor as well as group exercise schedules at Mount Airy. To maintain member and staff safety at all times, please observe WORK AREA and DIRECTIONAL signs.

From Monday, April 17 – Sunday, April 23, members can access the 2nd floor via the staircase in the Wellness Center. Group Exercise 1 Studio can be accessed by walking through the Group Exercise 2 Studio. The 2nd floor will be inaccessible via the main hallway stairs and the elevator.

From Monday, April 24 – Sunday, May 7, members can access the Spin and Group Exercise 2 Studios via the staircase in the Wellness Center. Group Exercise 1 will be closed and the 2nd floor will be inaccessible via the main hallway stairs and the elevator.

How Does Construction Impact the Group Exercise Schedule?

Classes at Riverwalk will run as usual during construction. From April 17 – April 23, classes at Mount Airy will run as usual. From April 24 – May 7, all classes at Mount Airy will be held in the Spin, Group Exercise 2 and Dance Studios, or outdoors (weather permitting).
